How to Update Extensions? #5201

I just updated https://github.com/some9000/StylePile so it was quite easy to check. Yeah, this is weird. It shows if there's a newer version on github. Then, if you use the Install from URL it says Extension directory already exists and fails. Install in the Available list is greyed out since it's already there. Sounds like you have to do it manually. Which is a little weird. Unless there is some hidden option. |

Yes, would be great to have an "update" button in the "Installed" list. Also i don't get why there's a checkbox next to the info the version is "behind", that you can remove the checkmark from. UX-wise this is very weird. |

"check for updates", leave the ✅ in behind, and then "apply and restart UI", if you remove the ✅ it will not update. |

That should definitely be clarified in the UI. For example, if the update column is for check boxes to choose whether to update, it should probably not also be used to communicate information about the state of updates. |

Hi! While i love the new extension manager, it would be nice to know how to update an extension once the manager tells you theres an update available for an extension. Uninstall/reinstall??
