this can just be simple correlation analysis using cor and some nice visulizations

The est_richness_lci and est_richness_uci are just the lower and upper confidence intervals of the estimated richness, so maybe exclude them for visualisation (they are very small anyways). But interesting - biomass and richness are not strongly correlated and the number of reads really do not seem to follow the richness. I ave updated the script so it analyses on the BIN subset richness instead:
