Scroll animations for long jumps

When animating to a new scroll position, in cases where the new section is quite far from the current section, the scroll animation doesn't match expectations even though the view ends up on the correct section.

Sometimes, the following undesired behaviors are seen.

• The scroll animation appears to be scrolling in the wrong direction
• The scroll doesn't animate at all, but just jumps to the new position
