KPI Description Type Example
airIndex airIndex is a numeric value between 0 and 1 that is obtained by syncing data that are indicators of demand and seat availability by route Number 0.5
ASKs Available Seat Kilometres (ASKs) is the measure of a flight's passenger carrying capacity. Calculated by multiplying the number of seats on an aircraft by the distance traveled in kilometers. Number 100
ASMs Available Seat Miles (ASMs) is the measure of a flight's passenger carrying capacity. Calculated by multiplying the number of seats on an aircraft by the distance traveled in miles. Number 100
Average Fare The average fare is the average of all fares collected from the Flight Results page. FareNet usually collects the lowest fare though exceptions may apply. Number 100
Bookings Bookings are counted whenever a user completes a flight reservation, also known as the number of transactions. Number 1000
Clicks Google Ads clicks are counted when someone clicks on ads Number 1000
Confirmations See: Bookings Number 1000
Conversion Rate Abbreviated: Conv. Rate. Conversion rates are calculated by taking the number of conversions and dividing that by the number of total ad interactions that can be tracked to a conversion during the same period. Percentage 3.5%
CoS Cost of Sales (CoS) is Cost divided by Revenue Percentage 1.2%
CTR Click-through rate (CTR) is the number of clicks divided by impressions. Percentage 0.8%
FSI Number of Flight Search Initiations (FSI) are counted when the user initiates a search and the next step is the Flight Results page in the IBE. Number 5000
FSI Assisted Conversions The number of flight bookings after initiating a flight search Number 1000
FSI Assisted Conv. Rate The percentage of flight bookings after viewing a module Percentage 8.5%
FSI Assisted Revenue The total revenue booked after users initiated a flight search after clicking on a module Number 1000
FSI Rate The percentage of flight search initiations after viewing an airTRFX Page or after viewing an Externalized airModule. Percentage 5.5%
IBE Bookings Number of bookings recorded from the IBE Flight Confirmation Page Number 1000
IBE Revenue (USD) Total revenue recorded from the IBE Flight Confirmation Page Number $10,000
IBE Searches See: Searches Number 1000
Impr. Assisted Conv. Rate The percentage of flight bookings after viewing a module Percentage 0.5%
Interactions Number of clicks on airModules. This includes filter selections, button clicks, tab changes, toggle interactions, arrow clicks, link clicks, sort selections, slider interactions, filter resets, and open-booking-popup depending on the airModule. Number 100
Interaction Rate Number of clicks on airModules divided by Viewable Impressions Percentage 0.5%
Load Factor The number of Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) expressed as a percentage of ASMs, either on a particular flight or for the entire system. Load factor represents the proportion of airline output that is consumed. To calculate this figure, divide RPMs by ASMs. The load factor for a single flight can also be calculated by dividing the number of passengers by the number of seats. Number 0.5
Look-to-Book Rate Look-to-Book Rate is the number of bookings divided by the number of searches in the IBE Percentage 3.5%
Median Fare This is the 'middle' value of all fares collected from the Flight Results page. FareNet usually collects the lowest fare though exceptions may apply. Number 100
Open Popup Number of clicks on the module which resulted in the user viewing a popup window. Number 1000
Open Popup Rate Number of clicks on the module which resulted in the user viewing a popup window divided by the number of viewable impressions. Percentage 5.5%
Pageviews A pageview is recorded when a page is being loaded (or reloaded) in a browser. Pageviews is a metric defined as the total number of pages viewed. Number 1000
Passengers Amount of passengers including adults, children, infants, and seniors in the booking. Number 1000
Passenger Yield Measure of average fare paid per mile, per passenger, calculated by dividing passenger revenue by revenue passenger miles (RPMs). Typically the measure is presented in cents per mile and is a useful measure in assessing changes in fares over time. Yield is not useful for comparisons across markets and/or airlines, as it varies dramatically by the average distance flown and does not incorporate load factor (unlike PRASM) Number 1000
PRASM Passenger Revenue per Available Seat Mile (PRASM) is calculated by dividing passenger revenue by available seat miles. Typically the measure is presented in terms of cents per mile. This measure is equivalent to the product of load factor and passenger yield. Number 1000
Returning Users Returning Users Number 1000
Revenue The total income associated with the transaction (flight bookings). Number 1000
Rev./Impr. Abbreviation of Revenue per Impression. Total Revenue divided by the number of Impressions shows how much revenue each impression brings. Number 3.86
Rev./Booking Abbreviation of Revenue per Booking. Total Revenue divided by the number of Bookings shows how much, on average, each of the bookings is worth. Number 273
Revenue (USD) Total Revenue in USD Number $10,000
ROI Return on Investment (ROI) is revenue divided by cost Number 87.1
RPM Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) is the basic measure of airline passenger traffic. It reflects how many of an airline's available seats were sold. For example, if 200 passengers fly 500 miles on a flight, this generates 100,000 RPMs. Number 1000
Search Index Search Index Number 0.62
Searches A search is counted when any user sees the IBE Flight Results page for a selected route. Number 1000
Searches Initiated See: FSI Number 100
