Seems like ForsakenX kind of simplified the Shield/Hull Indicators and got rid of the health bars next to them. Would be kind of nice to have the original versions back.

Also Probably move the Power indicator back to the bottom-center of the screen, just to de-clutter the bottom-right a bit.

For Comparison:

I have a feeling these changes were preferred as they are now. One to reduce the need to move your eyes around the screen as much for the power indicator and for two because t he little line possibly didn't help much?

@rpreen thoughts?

The original version has the chat displayed at the top and it is mixed in with not only status messages (e.g., players joining or network settings being changed) but also player taunts and it was very common for players to spam the taunt keys, which would result in the chat being impossible to see. So the chat was separated and placed at the bottom - which is one of the reasons why the power indicator was moved to the right. The little health bars also provided almost no real benefit since the numeric value is much more informative. There were are a variety of other reasons for changing the HUD (which we optimised for multiplayer) as well that I can't remember right now.

Maybe there could be an option for choosing between the old style HUD and the new, but it may not be a particularly simple change.
