More closely follow the GUI design principles of MacOS applications

**Describe the feature **

On the "File" menu:

" Open database" should be "Open Recent"
- the "Open Recent" menu should contain "Clear Menu" at the bottom
There should be a separate entry "Open..." that brings up a file chooser.
