Problem description

It's nice that auto sync exists but it feels like you have to pray it actually worked every time, especially since we don't have local backups if something goes wrong (see this issue #4074)

Feature description

A little icon that pops up whenever the saves are uploaded/downloaded would be enough imo. Doesn't need to be big, as long as you can easily spot it when you're looking for it. Added text like "Files uploaded", "Files downloaded" or "Saves up to date" could bring more clarity.
An over the top premium solution would be a Decky plugin that always shows when the last save was uploaded on the game page in Steam.

I thought the whole cloud sync thing is in beta.
I have tried it. From my understanding if a path does not come up in save file or an incorrect path comes then we have to manually provide the save path or it won't work.
Also after enabling for a game it always says syncing saves before it starts launching the game. I think we have logs as well for saves which are visible when we do manual sync.

I think we do have an indicator for cloud save being enabled but you need to open game description to see it and it would be better to be able to see that from library itself.

Maybe I should have been more precise. I want an indicator when launching games from Steam. I have all my games added to Steam and only open Heroic for updates and new installs.

Also it being in beta shouldn't be relevant, right? It already works so why not add to it?
