What is Dynamic Resources?

Memory Usage

With dynamic resources enabled, all of Luna Pixel Studio's modpacks run best with between 2 and 4 gigabytes of ram allocated.

It's recommended to go ingame with 4gb allocated and open the F3 menu. If your memory usage is not going above 3 GB, you can set your allocation down to 3 GB. You can set your RAM as low as 1 gigabyte while still getting maximum performance, but this could result in lag when generating large structures.

Ultimately, this does not matter much, as long as you are not allocating 8 gigabytes or more while Dynamic Resources is enabled.

Incompatibility with Connected Textures

In versions before 1.20, Dynamic Resources causes connected textures to no longer connect. A fix for this is being actively worked on by the developer of Continuity.

Our Modpacks

As of 7/20/23, BMC4 Forge comes with Dynamic Resources enabled by default. We will be updating the rest of the 1.20.1 modpacks to have this option enabled. You can check the modernfix-mixins config, or check the modpack changelog, if you want to know whether or not Dynamic Resources is already enabled in the modpack you're playing.
