GRA v4.2.0 and 2021

It's been a while since we've had a release or activity in The Great Reading Adventure forums. Sorry about that! The good news is we're here, we've been working this whole time, we've got a significant release, and we're hoping to be able to roll out more regular releases easily.

Great Reading Adventure v4.2.0

Today we're releasing version 4.2.0 of the GRA. This has a ton of fixes since our last release and lots and lots of features including full Spanish language translations of the front-end, the ability to send emails from the software, embedding and scheduling streaming programs directly in the Events area of the software, carousels you can schedule on the dashboard, and more. It's been updated to use the Microsoft .NET 5.0 platform and can run in Docker or directly on Linux, macOS, and Windows.

2021 and beyond

We've also been streamlining our processes here. We've moved discussions from the separate forums site to the Discussions feature here on GitHub: we are here all the time (since this is where active development takes place) so it will be easier for us to keep up with posts. We've also increased the efficiency of our release engineering process which should make it much simpler for us to produce releases and get them out the door.
