Outcome of OSDR/NBISC meeting discussion of curating multiple ion studies. OSDR and NBISC will need this class to accommodate the curation plan for multiple ion ground radiation studies. Single-ion radiation studies report Ionizing radiation as the specific ion involved (ex. Ionizing radiation = Cobalt-57 gamma radiation). Mixed radiation studies in OSDR report ionizing radiation as Ionizing radiation = mixed radiation field). Multiple ion radiation studies in OSDR will report ionizing radiation as Ionizing radiation = [multiple ion radiation](new ID needed).

Several additional fields described in attached curator menu (proposed by Jack and Sylvain during NBISC radiation curation meeting).

Multiple Ion Irradiation:

Definition: An irradiation protocol in which a sample is exposed to multiple ions delivered sequentially.

Editor's Note: The term is jargon, and reflects the convention that "multiple Ion" implies sequential exposure to multiple ion types, and not parallel exposures. (perhaps include reference to NSRL)

Example of Usage: https://www.bnl.gov/nsrl/userguide/gcrsim.php

Curator: Jack Miller

Parent: irradiation protocol RBO:00005028

@jmskip will ask OSDR/San L. or others about the need to have specifically "multiple ion radiation" concept additionally ...as "multiple ion irradiation study" has been implemented.

This has been added, but there is a typo in the definition:

The process by which an entity is exposed to two or more species of accelerated ions sequentially or simultaneously.
