I upgraded the tracker to the latest version 1.2.32 from 1.2.30, ignored the Windows 10 antivirus message and saw the icon in the traybar. A double click and everything seems fine.
After launching Marvel Snap I didn't see the overlay so I returned to desktop and the icon was gone.
Tried to reinstall the tracker, wiping the settings, nothing worked.
Before upgrading it worked but now I'm clueless.

Can you check if windows defender removed anything? In defender logs? If there're any threats that "blocked" or "removed", you need to allow those files as exceptions and re-install tracker

Thanks. I didn't think that Defender was trying again to stop the tracker.
It still blocks \AppData\Local\marvelsnaptracker\app-1.2.32\resources\app.webpack\main\native_modules\getFrontWindow.exe.
I added the folder C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\marvelsnaptracker to exclusions so it will not block updates and the tracker itself.

GetFrontWindow is the core of the tracker overlay, and it uses memory injection, which alerts windows defender. You need to make an exception for it.
