I've always been concerned that the Indicators are not accessible enough.

There are some things we can easily do like ensure Alt text is entered if an Image is used as the Indicator, but there is more than that. Hovers aren't really accessible, but Salesforce will tab into the Help icon if you tab (with their accessibility features).

What more can we do for Accessibility? Are there colours that we should not allow together? Can we even enforce that? Do we just make notes in the docco to be aware of this?

One good thing is that because we use the Avatar spec from the SLDS, they have hopefully thought of it, and it seems the hover text is the alt text.
