In Uninett/Argus#631 a field installed will be added to the Media table that will indicate whether or not a medium is installed. If a destination exists with a medium that is not installed some sort of warning should be shown to let the user know that no notifications will be sent to that destination. The same warning should also be shown next to notification profiles that are connected to such a destination.
