Opening modal makes window shift

If the current window that the user is on has a scrollbar, opening the modal will remove the scroll bar and cause the content of the window below to shift to right when it is removed.

Bootstrap gets around this issue by adding and removing 16px of padding to the window when the modal is open, but you may wish to do something different.
