PPpro - Phosh - Phoc - Fails to bind address

I'm using a freshly updated arch linux ARM image (Danctnix) using Phosh, which after a few minutes of research I'm rather sure is using "phoc" as the compositor, which is wlroots based, so I think it should be compatible?

I am unable to start wayvnc at all, it always fails to bind to the address. Just to test everything, I'm just trying to get it up listening on 0.0.0.0, and I've tried quite a few ports, like 1703, 5901, 5902, and a few other random ones.

SSH works, I've checked that rfkill isn't blocking, unsure what's wrong. Been trying to find wayvnc logs or something.

0.0.0.0:5901 is not an address. Try with a space instead of colon

Think I got it, In meson_options.txt I set systemtap value: true, and then passed "meson build --debug" and compiled. When connecting to my PPpro, the wayvnc server emits this message at the same time when the connecting client has the error:

That means that the compositor hasn't posted a buffer to the vnc server. If you run WAYLAND_DEBUG=1 wayvnc 0.0.0.0 5901, and try connecting what does that look like?

If I don't stop it, it just keeps switching between wl_display@1.delete_id(16) & wl_display@1.delete_id(17) endlessly. Trying to connect in with a client, I don't see anything change, just the delete_id on repeat.

Screen capturing is failing. I.e. the compositor replies to the request with a failure message. Figuring out why will take some digging into wlroots and/or phoc.

It should have occurred to me earlier, as I was setting it up over SSH the screen would turn off during the process.

Turning on the screen prior to running wayvnc, the server starts, the client connects, there's no issue.
