Update on API Support from TDA / Schwab

Hello Everyone,

Thought I'd share this update I received from TDA Trader Services when I asked if the TDA API was going to continue to be available after the Schwab integration. Here is the response I received for everyone's benefit:

Good Afternoon,
 
Thank you for contacting the TD Ameritrade API team. In regards to the future of the API we offer, we are currently working on bringing a Trader API as a brand-new product into Schwab's suite of different product offerings.  The goal is to provide an updated version of our current API into Schwab's ecosystem.  As we get more information, we will reach out to our API users and host the information on our Developer Portal (https://developer.tdameritrade.com/). 

Although we are working diligently to ensure there are as little changes as possible, current legacy TD Ameritrade API users will need to make changes when the Schwab Trader API becomes live. Some of the changes will include: 

* Token based authentication flow change 
* Legacy TDA users will need to re-register a developer account and re-register an application when the Schwab Developer Portal is live 
* Most endpoints will be brought over with the exception of the Saved Orders and Watchlist functionality of our current API. Once conversion is finished, we will look to add a significantly more updated version of these features.
