testing a snapclient

On Debian bookwork I installed the snapclient. It's running.
But how can I check whether it's working?

With lsof I can see some suggestions that it is listening - but I still don't see where

How do the server and client talk to each other?

Seems like there is only journalctl -u snapclient.service as the client connects to the server via port 1704.
