hr feature request

The hr object creates a horizontal line that is positioned below center of the line it is on. My feature request is to allow it to be configured to be above center.

A higher hr object below a column, such as an underline to a column of numbers, will have a closer association with that data. More important is an overline to text. When reading, our eyes tend to follow the tops of the letters and an above center overline appears less crowded, and makes the text easier to read.
