Alt/Option + Enter does not submit the request on some pages

I am using browsh on MacOS.

If I go to duckduckgo.com with Ctrl+l and type a search string followed by Option+Enter nothing happens. I am not able to click the search icon either. On regular browsers, the search icon changes to "blue" after entering first character and probably some javascript could be getting in the way.

But Option+Enter works on Bing search.

Option+Enter erases the search string on Google.

What's the recommended method to submit?
