See my report, i had today the first session that showd some sound and a waterfall... for Soapy on the OpnenWebRX i need to add the Device identifier to be able to select S1g or Hif port otherwise it uses the wrong port. i am not yet impressed but this is the first moment in weeks i had an audio stream :-) |

Just had another go with my setup. Beefy power supply, Gigabit adapter over USB etc. Then I ran CubicSDR on a remote machine (initially with CS8, leftover from last run). Everything as expected, clear audio etc. Switched back to CS16, audio garbled general sluggishness until I realised that my remote machine was using WLAN only (100Mbit). OK, wired up properly things didn't improve, kernel message log filled up with unwelcome1 messages so it seemed easier to reboot the Pi. After that perfect audio again (now with CS16). 1) e.g. reader_thread return illegal count = 0, DMA bounce timed out |

A new test branch is available called timeout (see top post). I more or less re-instated the reference code and removed certain timeouts for the SMI transfer programming. This appears far more stable than anything before (fingers crossed). Next on my list is the bounce timeout issue (while I still get it occasionally it doesn't seem to affect general operation). |

Your fork was a great help! Working great on a 3B+, along side CubicSDR. Offers connections to my remote gqrx and CubicSDR. The only unresolved issue for me is once a Connection is made, either locally (CubicSDR) or remotely the Cariboulite HAT starts up in transmit mode. I've not found a way to change this. I'm guessing it's on the server side in a config file....somewhere |

Could someone, who got that thing working, provide an Os image? |
