How to use only one key (for example: Space) for moving items in sortable container

I am able to get it working but stuck in cases where the item is in the top or bottom. I want the ability to loop when the item hits the bottom/ top. I don't want to use arrow keys. I want all the navigation to happen with space key press inside a sortable container.
I'd appreciate any tips. Thanks.
