X270 trackpad does not work after sleep

After the lid is closed and the laptop goes into sleep, the trackpad becomes unresponsive to any inputs, I think I may be something to do with the synaptic driver as the keyboard remains functional, any help would be great!!

I've been experiencing this issue off and on myself and I've been unable to get to the bottom of it, but I've also not had a lot of time to investigate. I'll try to take a look soon.
