Describe the bug
If I drag a window towards the top of my display to activate the KZones selector, the Plasma overview starts acting weird.

This happens even if I don't select a layout or a zone.

Restarting KZones clears the issue until I use KZones again.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Drag a window towards the top of the display until the KZones selector appears.
  2. Disengage KZones.
  3. Activate the Plasma overview. I've bound this to the meta key.
  4. Overview ignores keyboard inputs. Cannot type into search box, cannot leave overview with Esc key.
  5. Disable & re-enable KZones. Overview works again until KZones is used.

Expected behavior
Overview works like normal.

Screenshots
Overview. Screenshot can't show the problem, but just to be clear what I'm talking about.

I followed your steps but can't seem to reproduce this, but maybe I'm missing something. Could you possibly record a video?

Sure, here you go. Spectacle doesn't show my keypresses, but you can see that after I move a window I can't use the search box in the Plasma Overview, nor can I exit it with Esc. Disabling KZones fixes the Overview until I move a window.

Not shown is that if I disable KZones, I can move windows freely without breaking the Overview.

This is on Fedora 41. I recently did a clean install, and KZones is the only KWin script I have enabled. So while I'm open to the possibility that this is something screwy with only my computer, I'm not sure what the problem would be.

Sorry I cannot replicate this. Same Plasma version but on Arch.
I'll keep the issue open but for now I can't fix this.
