Before addressing the technical implementation issues with the page view counter (ref: #2472), we should evaluate whether this feature provides meaningful value to vendors in Dokan Lite and if it should remain part of the core functionality.

Current Feature Analysis

• Currently implemented with nonce validation causing caching issues

Questions for Discussion

1. Value Assessment

   • Do vendors actively use view counts for decision making?
   • Is the data reliable enough to be meaningful?
   • Are there better alternatives for tracking product interest?

2. Feature Usage

   • What percentage of vendors actually look at view counts?
   • Does this metric influence vendor behavior or strategies?
   • Is this a commonly requested feature by vendors?

3. Maintenance Cost

   • Current implementation has compatibility issues with caching (Dokan dokan_pageview nonce conflict with cache plugins #2472)
   • Requires ongoing maintenance and bug fixes
   • Adds complexity to the codebase

Options to Consider

1. Complete Removal
   • Remove from Dokan Lite entirely
   • Reduce code complexity
   • Eliminate caching compatibility issues
