I stumbled into public speaking when I attended Singapore Global CFP Diversity Day in March 2019, and subsequently got my first CFP submission accepted a few months later. Since then, I have delivered more than 10 talks at various tech conferences regionally and internationally. As I can get pretty self-conscious when delivering talks in public (especially in remote settings), I consider myself a work-in-progress speaker who is constantly learning from the audience and fellow established speakers on the international conference speaking circuit.
After 2 power-packed years of speaking at virtual conferences due to the COVID-19 pandemic (including EuroPython and PyData Global for 2 consecutive years), I went on a speaking break in 2022 to refocus on other pursuits that contribute direct ROI such as my full-time role as a Senior Data Engineer and other revenue-generating side hustles. With the return of in-person events, do look out for my upcoming talks that are in the pipeline!
In the meantime, I would greatly appreciate it if you could:
- Check out my recorded talks in the Past Talks section.
- Drop me a hello if you enjoyed and/or have learnt something interesting from any of my talks.
I am currently selectively available for discussion on potential talks and collaborations on the following topics:
- Change-Aware Dimensional Data Modeling in the Modern Data Stack
- Machine Learning Operations in Digital Banking
- Emotional Regulation for Technical Leaders
Please reach out to me if you would like to collaborate and sponsor my next conference talk.
