I lost my all my photos

I installed immich with docker compose. I tried to update with

docker compose down
wget -O docker-compose.yml https://github.com/immich-app/immich/releases/latest/download/docker-compose.yml
docker compose up --build -d

And logging in showed me a new user signup I see no pictures. Is it possible to recover?

What version were you updating from? With this way of updating you overwrote your compose file, losing any changes you made and forcefully applying any changes we've made. Do you still have your old compose file?

Unfortunately, I'm not sure. I moved to Immich last month. So the version could be [v1.120.2]. Can I recover if I switch back to that version's docker-compose file and run it?

Hmm, overwriting that shouldn't have broken anything. What's in your .env file, and what sort of system are you running on?

Did you put the docker-compose.yml file somewhere different than it was before?
