The bug

When I'm in the Photos view, when I scroll on the "on this day" reel, the width is wider than my screen. So I click on the right arrow to see older photos using my mouse. However, when my house gets off the button, the scroll position restores to see the newest photos, so I can't click into older years. Therefore, I can't dig into older photos in the timeline using the mouse.

I am able to use keyboard to tab and hit enter, though, for the record.

Reproduction steps

Repro:

  1. Click on Photos view, observe "1 year ago, 2 years ago ..." at the top. Notice that there is a circular right arrow to see older years. I don't know the right terminology for it, so I'll call it the "memories reel".
  2. Click on the right arrow to go to an older year.
  3. Once you see an older year, use mouse to click on that older year by moving off the arrow.

Expected:
Allow me to click into that older year

Actual:
As soon as I move the mouse so that it does not hover on the right arrow, the scroll position of the memories reel restores, and I am unable to click onto that older year.

What browser are you using? Does this also happen in incognito without any extensions etc?

Unsure if this is related - sometimes the right arrow on that memories reel does not go all the way to the oldest year. i.e. clicking on the arrow is a NOP

Hello, do you mind sending us a screen recording as I can't reproduce this or I misunderstand the issue you are describing
