Problem Statement

I want to synchronize multiple instances of GitLab:

  1. https://gitlab.com,
  2. https://invent.kde.org, and
  3. https://gitlab.gnome.org

and CalDAV:

  1. https://wim.nl.tab.digital
  2. https://de.tab.digital, and
  3. https://nextcloud05.webo.cloud

to one list.

Possible Solution

Support multiple instances of each certain type of authentication method per list.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I haven't been able to think of any thus far. The current implementation could be considered a bad alternative, but... it really is.

Thank you very much for opening up this issue! I am currently a bit overwhelmed by the many requests that arrive each week, so please forgive me, if I fail to respond personally. I am still very likely to at least skim read your request and I'll probably try to fix all (real) bugs if possible and I will likely review every single PR being made (please, give me a heads up if you intent to do so) and I will try to work on popular requests (please upvote via thumbs up on the original issue) whenever possible, but trying to respond to every single issue over the last years has been kind of draining and I need to adjust my approach for this project to remain fun for me and to make any progress with actually coding new stuff. Thanks for your understanding!

@RokeJulianLockhart I know the stale bot can be annoying, but unfortunately it is a tool I need to keep the backlog at least somewhat clean. There are 243 open issues atm (and some of them will never happen unless someone else than me picks them up). Without this bot it would probably be more than double that amount.

#2717 (comment)

@johannesjo, if the stale bot removed its comments once they had been responded to, that would help with retaining thread context a lot (since users can mark their responses as duplicate).

Irrespective, I suggest you read actions/stale#1190 (comment). It obviously doesn't apply to this issue, considering that I reported it. However, I've not been able to save a few others' issues from @Stale due to this.
