Electricity in France - dataviz-d3

This project tries to answer to the following questions using data-visualization with D3.js:

  • Where does the electricty in France comes from ?
  • When is that power consumed ?
  • When does the energy production releases the most CO2 ?

The dataset

  • The data comes from data.gouv.fr , the French government open-data platform.
  • The data is recorded by RTE, the distribution department of the national electricity company EDF.
  • The data is recorded every 30 minutes, but the yearly data are limited to 2012, 2013 and 2014.

What does it look like ?

  • Keep in mind that the graphs are interactive. You should check the website out to play with the data.
