Guideance on how to transition to Wordpress Plugins Directory version? #192

We have been using Caldera Wordpress integration with 0.4.2 version of this plugin without issue. We would like to access new functionality introduced in 1.x version and we would like to have the plugin managed through the wordpress plugins directory. It might be obvious, but do you have a suggested upgrade/transition instructions? If I manually upgrade to 1.0.5 will it automatically detect that it is in the directory?
