I would like to suggest a feature in PowerToys that allows applications to minimize directly to the system tray instead of the taskbar. This feature would help keep the taskbar clean and uncluttered while still keeping minimized applications accessible.
For example, when I minimize Chrome or other programs, they would not appear on the taskbar but in the system tray instead. Many third-party tools like RBTray or TrayIt offer this functionality, but having it integrated into PowerToys would be very convenient.
Scenario when this would be used?
Hiding running Programs For Temporarly
