Feature Description

I noticed that the current MatterSim model does not provide an official fine-tuning method, but it has proven to be highly valuable to the community. Based on your paper, there are also many examples demonstrating the effectiveness of fine-tuning (e.g., water).

Motivation

Fine-tuning can significantly enhance the performance of specific systems that were not fully trained during the pretraining process.

Proposed Solution

I have been using my own fine-tuning code for some time now, and if you're open to it, I would be happy to contribute this fine-tuning code and its documentation voluntarily.

Contribution Interest

  • I'm interested in potentially implementing this feature
  • I can provide guidance, but cannot implement
  • I'm just suggesting the feature for the community

Code of Conduct

  • I agree to follow the project's Code of Conduct
