[Compile error] Not able to compile sdk-trace-base package

I faced a compile error on sdk-trace-base package as in the attachment here. Any one faced same issue or suggestion how to solve it.

Can you provide the exact steps starting from cloning the repository you tried? Also please include the version of NPM and NodeJS you are using.

Cloned the repo
cd to the opentelemetry-sdk-trace-base package dir
npm install
npm run compile

did the same in the opentelemetry-core dir and repeated the above but still the same result

npm version 8.3.1
node version 16.14.0

You are missing the lerna bootstrap and compile commands. If you run npm install from the root of the repository it will link packages together. Running npm install from a package directory installs the released versions of the dependencies and not the local working copy

Ok great. Thanks for looking into this. It is working now after running npm install from the root.
