Unable to move the mouse in valorant

It seems that when we launched valorant the mouse get blocked and cannot be move, probably due to vanguard. But with Nvidia GameStream there is no problem.

There is really not enough information provided to make this a bug report, and we normally consider game specific issues as non bugs since we have no control over anything the game is doing.

Anyway, how are you launching Sunshine?

I am pretty sure it is Valorants Anti Cheat that prevents Sunshine mouse from working.

Probably, I saw on discord that I am not the only one impacted by this issue. Since Nvidia GameStream work on valorant do you think it's a whitelisted program by the anti-cheat or is it the way they handle the mouse ?

It's very likely that Valorant whitelisted NVIDIA GameStream yes, I recall when it first came out it had tons of issues with third party software and they had to relax their restrictions.

I've experienced this with other game streaming applications aswell.
It's caused by Riot's Vanguard anti cheat blocking virtual mouse movement.
Using a USB over IP solution is currently a quick fix for the issue. Although I have struggled to find a good solution between MacOS and Windows computers that is FOSS and maintained.

But the official Nvidia GameStream works fine because they use a mouse and keyboard driver to move the mouse instead of SendInput it's possible to fix this by doing the same but if we make a kernel driver we also have to sign it for every version.

I noticed that the SendInput command is prohibited by many anti-cheat systems, which prevents sunshine from operating the mouse.
