I'm going to answer my own question - I think I must have accidentally altered the switches, not realising they would be important after locking them into NVR. I will pretend it was one of the cats that disturbed them. I can boot into CDOS now. |

My system was happy to boot from floppy for all of cpm, cdos and cromix. I started to play around with hd prep according to THN#037, then took sdcard out to make some file management in PC. On putting sdcard back in , powering up etc I cannot boot from floppy.
I put a new (latest March 2023) disk image on a different sd card, prepped the config and still get same error.
The SD file system clearly works because edit of boot.conf saves ok, and manipulation of lib with drag and drop to save a file add new file is OK.
