WiFi is never guaranteed.
Consider a way to switch the phone app to sending bluetooth messages, with a BLE MQTT bridge on the robot.
The concept would be that once connected, MQTT topic/payload messages are sent to/from the phone via bluetooth. Use a bluetooth message to the bridge service to subscribe to topics so the phone app receives them.
We should be able to swap most things that are not the camera feed to this.
