Only the link to start a site using the Upstream on Pantheon is displayed. Users are unlikely to realize that something like Commerce Kickstart is doing to install Commerce 2 on D7
Suggested Resolution
Either fix the render so the Font Awesome icons are displayed or update the MD

Many of the Drupal Upstreams are no longer maintained. Because of the limits on how D7 distributions require future contib and Drupal core updates from the Upstream/Distribution.
Open Public was maintained until 2019 at https://github.com/phase2/openpublic-drops-7/commits/master. https://www.drupal.org/project/openpublic is flagged for including a version of Drupal with critical core security updates. It is really irresponsible to allow users to install that with a disclaimer telling users report the fact that core is outdated to the project maintainer on Drupal.org when the project maintainers haven't responded to any issue in several years.
I added a list of old D7 drop Upstreams that should be removed. I'm actually looking for examples of D10 install profiles that automate most of the install profile process on Pantheon. While D7 is still supported, with https://www.drupal.org/project/infrastructure/issues/3266927 we've ended distribution packaging for D7.
There is a lot of exciting development happening that makes maintaining install profiles in D10, but we're running into issues leveraging some of that on Pantheon in our Upstream. https://www.drupal.org/project/drupalorg/issues/3134858 fixed the way distributions are listed at https://www.drupal.org/project/project_distribution. Drupal's shift to GitLab and Pantheon's shift to a Composer build process should really make managing a public Upstream much easier, but it is MUCH more difficult to find other developers maintaining Upstreams since forking the D7 drop project on GitHab isn't part of the process and VCS other than GitHub are now supported.
