Data Explorer summary panel reappears when changing tabs

After having closed the summary panel in data explorer, if I then switch to view another tab and then switch back to the data explorer tab, the summary panel is open again.

Seems like the data explorer is not remembering that the summary panel has been closed after switching tabs.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I believe this is also linked to #4979. @juliasilge I notice that the summary panel layout (on left or right) is remembered correctly. If you can point me to the file/lines responsible for storing the layout, I think I can replicate that for the collapsing.
