Dependency Dashboard ability to ignore scheduled changes

When Renovate opens a PR to upgrade a dependency, and I close the PR (without approving/merging it), Renovate will say "Because you closed this PR without merging, Renovate will ignore this update. You will not get PRs for any future x.y releases". I like this behavior, which is called the "Renovate Ignore Notification".

It would be cool if the Dependency Dashboard issue exposed this same "Renovate Ignore Notification" behavior, but with a click button (as it does for exporting an issue).

So you want to basically block existing PRs or do you mean that these PRs are listed in the issue?
The second is already existing, there is a "Edited/Blocked" section on the DependencyDashboard which shows these PRs.

Oh I see, my apologies I have a few repos with Renovate and I was looking at the Dependency Dashboard issue for a separate repo at the time.

So of my above feature requests, the first was already done 😄

• Also list ignored/blocked
• Have a click button way to add a scheduled update to the ignored/blocked list

The second one stands though, which is requesting Renovate add checkboxes to the Dependency Dashboard issue

Basically I am wondering if Renovate can add a checkbox system to the Dependency Dashboard issue for ignoring major version bumps, and having them go to the ignored/blocked list

I guess the option you are looking for is dependencyDashboardApproval

You can't have two checkboxes for the same line/content, so this feature request is not feasible without duplicating every line, which we don't want to do. Better that you set dependencyDashboardApproval for all major by default (as we do in this repo)
