When using the Android standard client, it has some very annoying limitations with no solution. You can't use it to sync files that are in your local drive...
If there was a Android build, you could add a files / directories to synch at a certain internal or maybe the files could be registered to be watched?
At minimum you could define a dropbox folder in the storage that you could then open with other programs.
