i cant add className and variants to a Button

i installed the button component but for some reason i cant assign to it a className or variants or anything at all , when i press ctrl + space only two options show up "key " and "ref"

edit :
i tried this with other components as well but it the same problem, i cant seem to apply anything to any component,
the installation went without any errors and i checked all the imports and they are good
