With our sigmoidal maturity ogive, it can be that not all individuals that are mature at the size w_repro_max at which mature individuals invest all of their surplus energy into reproduction. The result should be that the immature individuals continue to grow past w_repro_max. However currently we artificially set psi to 1 above w_repro_max. This discontinuity in our definition of psi is unfortunate.
