Hi, thanks for this library.
Since php 8.1 the GD extension supports the avif format: https://php.watch/versions/8.1/gd-avif
Could you add support for it?

I would but I don't have avif support enabled on my PHP version, tried to compile it but it didn't work and wasted A LOT of time trying to do it :)
i am open to suggestion on to where i could work on this

You're right, seems it's not trivial to install :(
I'm working in a server that has AVIF Support enabled in GD, but I can't also replicate it in my dev machine...
