Dupe Check

Describe the bug

When I open the terminal it is as if the screen freezes, as if it took a screenshot of the view behind it, and it stays like that without responding but I can continue using the PC.

To reproduce

  1. Run the command to update to the latest version:
sudo apt update && sudo apt install warp-terminal && warp_finish_update q1fEkb9 # I think this was the hash, I don't remember exactly but it's the last one I have in the history

Expected behavior

That the terminal starts correctly

Hi @franco4457, thank you for reporting this! This is likely a graphics driver issue, but it's difficult to know exactly what happened without more information. Would you mind posting your logs so we can get more details and debug this further?

same issue, i have to remove it: sudo apt remove warp-terminal
and get prev version https://releases.warp.dev/stable/v0.2024.12.18.08.02.stable_04/warp-terminal_0.2024.12.18.08.02.stable.04_amd64.deb
then
sudo dpkg -i warp-terminal_0.2024.12.18.08.02.stable.04_amd64.deb

Same issue here

Edit: After a while the warp windows did actually pop up. But, I could not launch new programs (e.g. vs code)

I followed @MarekBartczak suggestion and everything seems to work with the prev version.

Hey folks, thanks for your patience here. I'm actively investigating this issue.

For anyone affected: could you also send the logs for the latest Warp version so we can better debug what's going on?

And also send logs for the working version of Warp (v0.2024.12.18.08.02.stable_04)

Hello, here are the logs for the v0.2025.01.08.08.02.stable_03 version warp-logs.zip

I followed @MarekBartczak suggestion and after that I updated to version v0.2024.12.18.08.02.stable_05 running the command

sudo apt update && sudo apt install warp-terminal && warp_finish_update 82TgwmL

And it works correctly, but the terminal bg is weird, it's like it has a transparent pixel between the bg and the terminal interface

Thank you for the additional info! We've pushed out a fix for this in release v0.2025.01.08.08.02.stable_04 -- does that resolve the problem?
