Trying to flash on ASUS Z170-P using EzFlash and keep getting "your selected bios file is invalid!" #169

If the bios file is invalid, then there's no point forcing it to flash as it will likely brick the board. The Z170-P needs a .cap file. Can you check if the file you are trying to flash is a .cap or is it a different format? (I am also having the same problem with my Asus H110M-R) |

I had an issue with my Asus H110M-R which was "Selected file is not a proper BIOS file". I know this isn't exactly the same as yours but it's similar enough. I raised this issue on UEFITool and I was told that Asus EZ Flash has measures put in place to prevent modded BIOS files from being flashed. He said I should buy a CH341A Programmer(they are very cheap and work great). |

Trying to flash on ASUS Z170-P using EzFlash and keep getting "your selected bios file is invalid!", I don't know why it just happens... Are there any programs / hardware that will allow me to flash not using ASUS because I have a intel arc and want to squeeze the max performance right now
