Trying to flash on ASUS Z170-P using EzFlash and keep getting "your selected bios file is invalid!"

Trying to flash on ASUS Z170-P using EzFlash and keep getting "your selected bios file is invalid!", I don't know why it just happens... Are there any programs / hardware that will allow me to flash not using ASUS because I have a intel arc and want to squeeze the max performance right now

If the bios file is invalid, then there's no point forcing it to flash as it will likely brick the board. The Z170-P needs a .cap file. Can you check if the file you are trying to flash is a .cap or is it a different format? (I am also having the same problem with my Asus H110M-R)

I assume .cap? But I could be wrong since people are mentioning ROMS with ASUS and not .cap files even though I tried to export it as a cap with UEFITOOL

I had an issue with my Asus H110M-R which was "Selected file is not a proper BIOS file". I know this isn't exactly the same as yours but it's similar enough. I raised this issue on UEFITool and I was told that Asus EZ Flash has measures put in place to prevent modded BIOS files from being flashed. He said I should buy a CH341A Programmer(they are very cheap and work great).
