InfiniStructures Dimension is a dimension add-on to vanilla Minecraft. It contains two dimensions with significantly increased structure generation using Overworld and Nether structures. The purpose of this pack is to provide a place where chest loot is fairly abundant.

Warnings

  • As with any datapack using custom dimensions, this is an experimental feature. Use with caution.
  • Weak computers may struggle loading the dimensions if render distance is too high due to the large amount of entities that load with the structures.

Notable Features

Portals

There are two new nether portals added in this pack. These use dark_prismarine and crying_obsidian as their frames. Similar to vanilla nether portals, these:

  • Allow variable frame size (up to a perimeter limit of 100 blocks),
  • Frames must be empty,
  • The corners of frames are optional,
  • Portals link up between dimensions.
  • Frames work on both x and z axis. However,
  • The portals will only light by a player using flint and steel.

Dimensions

Use the dark_prismarine portal to access the overworld-structure dimension.

  • The dimension is mostly ocean covered in a layer of villages. Certain structures like desert temples spawn underwater (because why not). Note that pillager outposts don't spawn due to the large amount of villages.

Use the crying_obsidian portal to access the nether-structure dimension.

In both dimensions, use a regular obsidian nether portal to return. One will be created for you when you enter the dimension.

Setup

  1. Build the frame like you would a normal nether portal.
  2. Light the base with flint and steel.

Installation

No need to unzip. Place the file in your world's data pack folder, or drag it in to the Data Packs option on world creation.

Uninstallation.

Delete the datapack from the save's "datapacks" folder, as well as the 'infdim' folder from the save's 'dimensions' folder. Note that there are markers on each of the portals that are not removed.
