This project was created as part of my Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate capstone. I assumed the role of a Junior Data Analyst on the marketing analytics team at Cyclistic, a bike-share company based in Chicago. The analysis focuses on understanding user behavior and providing data-driven insights to support marketing strategies and business goals. 📊
The goal of this analysis was to differentiate casual riders from subscribed riders by exploring their usage patterns and preferences. Insights derived from the data were intended to inform strategies for converting casual riders into long-term subscribers.
- Data Cleaning and Analysis: Leveraged SQL to clean and analyze ~5.7 million rows of bike trip data, combining multiple datasets and optimizing for advanced analysis.
- Interactive Visualization: Created a scrollable Tableau dashboard to visualize trends in rider behavior, making the insights accessible and actionable for stakeholders.
- Actionable Insights: Delivered recommendations based on the analysis to help Cyclistic optimize its marketing strategies.
- SQL: For data cleaning, manipulation, and analysis.
- Tableau: To create an interactive scrollable dashboard for visualizing trends.
- Google BigQuery: For querying and managing large datasets.
