This is a manual that should help you out with basics of SMsplit. As of writing, the program is still in early . This program is also commonly referred to as ‘SMsplit’ as it was made for Super Metroid in mind.

The autosplitter works by connecting to Livesplit (only split program support as of now) through a server. It then takes screenshots of the window/screen specified in the config file and for every screen shot it uses checkboxes (rectangles) to see if there's a match. If all conditions within one object is met, the autosplitter will compare the item's name with the current split in Livesplit, and if those two match, it will finally send a signal to Livesplit to split.
