Release Definition for DiffPy CMI 1.0

DiffPy-CMI-1.0 is a binary release bundle built with respect to Linux system packages. The bundle also contains all sources in git repositories and a build script, thus it should be easy to recompile after source update or in case of binary incompatible Linux version.

Supported OS

There will be 2 bundle files for 32 and 64-bit versions of Ubuntu 12.04.

Dependencies

  • Python 2.7
  • Python science-related packages, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib
  • Boost libraries version 1.43 or later

In general the user will be responsible for installing dependencies that are in system package manager (or in macports). The bundle will provide all other required software.

Release Checklist

  • PackageChecklist completed for all of our included packages
  • freeze dependencies versions obtained by 01-fetchsources
  • create signed tag "diffpy-cmi-1.0" for this repo. Use the release feature on this repo to attach bundle files diffpy-cmi-1.0-u12x32.tar.gz and diffpy-cmi-1.0-u12x64.tar.gz.
