Overview

This is the principal repository of the Digital Index of Middle English Verse (DIMEV). Repository contents as follows:

• data/ DIMEV data files
• docs/ Components for the documentation
• schemas/ XSD files for validation of data files
• scripts/ A Python script for validating XML

For additional detail see the documentation.

Documentation is built and released with GitHub Actions. For local builds an equivalent build script is supplied in the directory docs/.

Contributing

We welcome corrections to DIMEV content. The best way to report a correction is to create an "issue". The next-best way is to email one of the current custodians of DIMEV, Ian Cornelius or Mike Johnston.

Contributors should be aware that their corrections will not be implemented soon: content corrections are on hold while we review and modernize DIMEV's frameworks for data management. See the documentation.
